Towards My Muscle-Up Goal
Somehow I still seem to have the flu. Practice on Monday night definitely didn't help that situation, but that's history now.
My problem is that any time I bring my heart rate up to a decent level to begin my workout I begin to feel light headed, dizzy and then I go into a horrible coughing fit. My planned workout for the day was going to be a Gymnastic / Metabolic day, but because of the flu I've had to improvise.
WOD for April 10th 2007
4 Rounds of Muscle up training (Static/Jumping muscle ups), approximately 4-5 reps
4x8 Pull-ups (First rep was 9)
3x7 Ring Dips
A short body weight workout ended up being a good idea. I spent a lot of time working on my form on all three exercises, and gave myself lots of rest between sets to insure maximum strength. If I continue on my current path then I'm hoping I'll be able to do a full muscle up my May 1 '07.
